Through a new platform called ‘M-Haki,’ one can be assisted by a team of dedicated legal experts at Kituo Cha Sheria. Justice Gavai Nominated As Sc Legal Services Committee Chairman: What Law Says On Free Legal Aid In India

The Office of the Attorney General of Kenya established the National Legal Aid Service (NLAS) with the mandate to provide legal advice and representation especially to the poor, oppressed and vulnerable people in Kenya.

Refugees and Kenyan citizens can seek legal aid from these offices by completing the Legal Aid Services Form NLAS1 which can be downloaded here.

Under Mama Ngina road. Physical NLAS1 forms can be collected from their offices Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:00pm.

Justice Uday Umesh Lalit, a Supreme Court judge, is the Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA). Also, he served as chief justice of the Supreme Court. He is the 6th attorney general to be elevated to the Supreme Court. He will retire on November 8, 2022, after serving as the Chief Justice of India for seventy-four days.

Awareness about Right to legal aid and availability of free legal posters was also released by Justice Lalit at the event which will be organized in police stations in Haryana.

In addition to this, he said that this is the first step to inform people about the Right to Legal Aid.

NALSA was established as a statutory body under the Legal Assistance Authorities Act of 1987 to provide free assistance to the poor and organize Lok Adalats for amicable settlement of disputes.
